A letter from Michael pushes Gabriel into making some dangerous decisions. Zinnie becomes concerned about Leyla's drinking. Robbie upsets Hayley with his talk of internet dating.

Gabriel is surprised when he receives a letter from Michael asking for a visit but doesn't seem willing to face his brother. Later, Gabriel finds Molly unable to get into the Amber Cabs office. Lenny is nowhere to be seen. Gabriel breaks into the office to find Lenny having an MS episode. Diverting Molly, Gabriel persuades a humiliated Lenny to let Dan examine him in private. Dan tells Lenny that he has to start a course of treatment at the hospital. Lenny is not happy about this but appreciates Gabriel's loyalty and understanding. Sean speaks to Gabriel about another dodgy deal that would set them up in direct competition with Lenny. Gabriel refuses out of loyalty much to Sean's displeasure.

Gabriel speaks to Leyla who asks him not to see Michael. Gabriel brings up the fact that they slept together and tells her things have changed. Gabriel decides to stay away but when a humbled Lenny comes to thank him for his help, Gabriel finds himself confessing to the affair. Lenny confronts Gabriel with his weakness, just as he did for Lenny earlier, and tells him to visit Michael. At the prison, an eerily calm Michael wants to forgive Gabriel but insists he leave Glasgow as he has no ties. A furious Gabriel reveals that Leyla wanted him, not Michael, especially when she slept with him two weeks ago. Enraged, Michael punches Gabriel. He never wants to see him again! Afterward, Gabriel gets a visit from Will and DCI Donald who ask him if he is connected to the beating that Michael received in prison after he left. Gabriel confronts Lenny about this, and Lenny reassures Gabriel it wasn't from him. Sean meets Gabriel and casually asks after Michael, making Gabriel's blood run cold. Sean asks for something in return for not attacking Michael again. Cornered, Gabriel admits that Lenny is suffering from MS. Sean immediately goes to gloat over Lenny who is utterly furious. He confronts Dan and accuses him of shopping him out to Sean. Gabriel steps in to stop the fight and admits to Lenny that it was him that did it. A bewildered Lenny can't believe it. He angrily confronts Gabriel with the truth. He can't be trusted by anyone. Afterwards, Gabriel meets with Sean and tells him he will give him everything on Lenny if he can be his business partner. Sean is elated and takes him to his prostitution ring. But when Sean leaves the car, Gabriel makes a call to Lenny and gives him details of Sean's business. Gabriel's become a double agent.

When Zinnie makes a snide comment about Will using the flat's supplies, Robbie demands that she start paying her way as well. ZinnieE heads straight over to the Brodies to squeeze some money from a hungover Leyla. Zinnie offers to make lunch and tidy up to get into Leyla's good books. She heads to the mini-market and gets all the cut price food while pocketing Leyla's change. Back at the house, Zinnie is surprised to see how much Leyla is drinking. When she mentions it, Leyla clams up and insists that Zinnie borrow some money in order to get her out of the house. Zinnie asks Deek about his past drinking problem but he and Robbie interpret this as an excuse to not pay the bills. Zinnie angrily gives them money that Leyla lent her, but what will she do about her Leyla-related worries?

Hayley is tired of hearing Robbie brag about his brand new romantic life with Will. She baulks at the idea of being set up with someone but this doesn't stop Robbie planning her romantic life with Deek. But when Hayley catches them making up an internet profile for her and being a bit flexible with the truth, she is understandably upset - do they really have to make things up about her to get guys interested? Is the truth not enough? Robbie realises how low Hayley's self esteem is and realises he's made it worse. He puts together a profile for his best friend as he really sees her - an amazing woman. Touched, Hayley consents to let the page go up online.
