Drama series following children as they move from primary to secondary school.

Eleven-year-old Jack's world is turned upside down when his dad Tim comes back into his life on his first day of high school. His stepdad Ellis isn't happy, but father and son arrange to meet up. There is just one problem: Tim is taking him to a Liverpool game but Jack is an Evertonian, just like Ellis. But if his dad is taking him to the Liverpool game, what team is Jack supposed to support?

At school, Jack makes new friends but dodges questions about which football team he supports. Set an assignment to talk about something they feel passionately towards, all the kids talk about football, but Jack doesn't know which side he is on anymore. Ellis suggests he talk about Everton legend Dixie Dean, while Tim suggests Liverpool's Bill Shankly. As the day of the speech draws nearer, Jack is full of dread, and pressure mounts when Ellis discovers Tim has taken Jack to a Liverpool game.

Anxious, Jack runs away from school, provoking more arguments between his parents. Eventually Jack reveals the pressure he has felt to choose a team, but an inadvertent comment from Jack's little sister Joy finally inspires a solution.
