Richard Hammond and Amanda Byram host as twenty more hopefuls, including a wannabe singer, a tennis coach and a neuroscientist-cum-greengrocer, take on the obstacle course.
Life really doesn't get much more fabulous than watching 20 hopeful - and sometimes hopeless - ordinary British folk fly halfway across the world to test their skill, endurance, nerve and bouncability on the incredible Total Wipeout course in Argentina. There is a 拢10,000 prize for the winner, a shiny trophy, a lifetime of amusing anecdotes and a nickname from host Richard Hammond.
Only one can be champion. Could it be wannabe singer Ricki? Could it be tennis coach Helen? Could it be neuroscientist-cum-greengrocer (don't ask) Liam? All they have to do is master the mighty Qualifier, defeat the devilish Double Cross, outsmart the Terror-Go-Round and wipe out the Wipeout Zone. The biggest challenge of all is staying calm whilst Amanda Byram giggles away on the sidelines.
It's always worth it in the end, though.
