Sebastian Vettel and Lewis Hamilton are the only two F1 drivers to have experienced starting this race on the front row of the grid, with both filling the first two places in qualifying in each of the three years it has been held. German world champion Vettel was on pole last year, only to retire with a puncture on the first lap of the race proper, allowing Hamilton to go on to victory.
