Series paying tribute to those who have fought in conflicts. Gethin Jones meets a former rear gunner in Bomber Command, who recalls his first bomber mission and the daily dangers.
In the year that the veterans of Bomber Command finally received recognition for their bravery in WW2, we meet a former rear gunner who recalls his first bomber mission and the daily dangers risked by every bomber boy. We hear from a Navy medic, whose quick thinking saved the lives of six of his fellow servicemen. Gethin meets our soldier's most unusual 'allies' when he joins the Military Working Dogs Squadron.
