Central Judging
Chefs compete to cook at a banquet to celebrate 25 years of Red Nose Day. The chefs must cook their entire menus for the judges, including Jim Moir aka Vic Reeves.
Great British Menu continues as 24 of the nation's finest chefs battle it out to cook gastronomic masterpieces that are also witty and fun. Their dishes have to put a smile on faces as they compete for the prize of cooking a dish at a special banquet at the Royal Albert Hall celebrating 25 years of Comic Relief's Red Nose Day appeals.
It is decision time for the chefs from the central England region. One chef left the competition yesterday and only two remain to cook their entire menus for judges Prue Leith, Matthew Fort and Oliver Peyton. The panel is joined by guest judge, comedian and actor Jim Moir, known to millions as Vic Reeves. The judges are not easily pleased and only world class cooking will do.
The chefs' task is to deliver a performance on a plate - food that is delicious but will put a smile on everyone's face too. Only one can make it through to the national finals to represent central England at the banquet.
