Episode 12
Cookery series. Chef Theo Randall and cook Rachel Allen compete in the Atholl and Breadalbane Agricultural show, and sample award-winning honey from the Heather Hills honey farm.
It's day two of top chefs Theo Randall and Rachel Allen's culinary road trip. Today, they make their way from the Island of Bute off the west coast of Scotland to Aberfeldy in Perthshire. And theyre up against some of the best bakers in the land as they enter the 'single chocolate sponge category' of the Atholl and Breadalbane Agricultural show.
Before they park up for their baking challenge, they visit nearby Heather Hills honey farm to meet beekeeper Mark Noonan, who's been making his award-winning 'champagne of honeys' for over twelve years. And he's got a real sweet treat in store for them!
With the summer sun sending the temperature soaring, it's time to park up and get down to business. Two chocolate sponges are the order of the day - and they'd better be top-notch as they're being judged by Kate Imlay and Jeannie Black. How will our two chefs fair against the local competition?
