Episode 14
Cookery series. Theo Randall and Rachel Allen compete in the Kington Horse and Agricultural Society Show and enjoy a visit to the Dunkerton Cider Company.
Our gourmet chefs Theo Randall and Rachel Allen hit the road again, on their whistlestop tour of the nation's best-loved country shows. They reach the town of Kington in Herefordshire where they'll be entering the 'open fruit tart with sweet pastry' at the Kington Horse and Agricultural Society Show.
On the way, they have the pleasure of a visit to the Dunkerton Cider Company, where proprietor Ivor Dunkerton has been producing organic cider and perry for over thirty years.
If they can tear themselves away from Ivor's orchard, then the real work must begin on two fine, award-winning fruit tarts. They're going to be up against some of the most competitive bakers in the country - the good people of Kington - as well as going head-to-head with each other. With Judge Christine Fletcher demanding nothing but excellence, there's a real challenge ahead!
