Aled Jones introduces a glorious celebration for Easter Day, joined by Stephen Tompkinson and Nikki Amuka-Bird, who tell the story from the Bible of Jesus’ resurrection from the dead.  Only Boys Aloud sing a beautiful version of Malotte’s contemporary setting of The Lord’s Prayer and classic Easter hymns include Jesus Christ Is Risen Today, Hail Thee Festival Day and Thine Be The Glory, sung in St Mark’s Church in Maida Vale.

Only Boys Aloud perform The Lord’s Prayer
Only Boys Aloud was started by Only Men Aloud, to encourage singing among young men across South Wales. The choir made up of approximately 175 young men aged 14 – 19 who rehearse weekly in local Only Boys Aloud Choirs stretching from Cross Hands to Cwmbran and Treorchy to Caerphilly. They come together to rehearse and perform as a mega-choir at regular intervals. The boys are mentored and trained by nine Team Captains who are members of Only Men Aloud and also supported by volunteer Community Leaders.
Stephen Tompkinson reads from the book of John
Stephen Tompkinson is best known for his work in television drama and comedy productions, such as DCI Banks, Wild at Heart, Ballykissangel, Grafters and Drop the Dead Donker, and for the movie Brassed Off.
Nikki Amuka-Bird reads from the book of John
Nikki Amuka-Bird currently stars in Â鶹¹ÙÍøÊ×Ò³Èë¿Ú One police drama series Luther. She has also appeared in Small Island and The Number One Ladies Detective Agency.
