Jenna Russell and Mark Umbers have achieved quite a resume of stage and screen credits between them鈥︹.Guys and Dolls, Sweet Charity, Sunday In The Park With George, The Glass Menagerie to name just a few.听 Now they鈥檙e taking to the stage in the revival of Sondheim鈥檚 Merrily We Roll Along at the Harold Pinter Theatre.

Luke Treadaway talks about The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time
When nominations for the Olivier Awards were announced by Ruth Wilson and Elaine Paige live on Radio 2, the National Theatre鈥檚 production of The Curious Incident Of The Dog In The Night-Time led the field with eight nominations - including a Best Actor nod for its star - Luke Treadaway.听 The hit play is based on the best selling book about an autistic teenager who鈥檚 a genius with numbers.听 So it鈥檚 doubly impressive that Luke鈥檚 up for the award as he鈥檚 the first to admit he was 鈥渁wful鈥 at maths at school.
You can see Luke in The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-time at The Apollo Theatre, Shaftsbury Avenue until the end of August.

Sophie Kinsella wrote her first novel under her real name, Madeleine Wickham, whilst working as a financial journalist. Othello at the Olivier
This is a real hot ticket. It's got Adrian Lester as the Moor and Rory Kinnear as Iago who, of course, plays on Othello's insecurity to destroy him. Nicholas Hytner directs and, as with most of his recent Shakespeares, sets the action in today's world.

Othello runs at the Olivier until late summer and is broadcast live to cinemas on September 28.

It's a busy time for the National. This is a play by the Russian, Maxim Gorky, written in 1905 just after the Tsar's troops had massacred a group of peaceful protestors. But Gorky is writing about the middle-classes who keep their heads in the sand even in a time of chaos.

This is a new play by Tanika Gupta about the little-known subject of Victorian Asians. We see Abdul Karim coming to England in 1887 to be Queen Victoria's Hindi teacher and, at the same time, the 16-year-old Rani trying to scrape a living in England as a children's nanny.

Somerset Maugham was a popular playwright as well as novelist. This play, written in 1930, is about a stockbroker who can't meet his financial claims and who decides the only thing to do is walk out on both the City and his family.
