"Hearing.... But Not As You Know It"

Helen Willis,听a final year Physiology and Psychology student at St John鈥檚, has produced a fascinating video, in partnership with SJCtv, about her experiences as a deaf student at St John鈥檚.

She was one of the first people in the UK to receive a cochlear implant, allowing her to hear the world around her - albeit through impoverished sounds. Now she is flourishing at St John's and, despite difficulties in everyday tasks, she hopes to continue her studies and specialise in researching the science of hearing.听

This film was made by SJCtv - the student-run film-making club at St John's.
