Highlights of qualifying from the N眉rburgring circuit, introduced by Suzi Perry. This year's race is back at the iconic circuit south of Cologne, which currently alternates hosting duties with Hockenheim.

Fernando Alonso was quickest throughout qualifying 12 months ago and went on to to secure pole position ahead of Sebastian Vettel, who despite winning the world championship in each of the last three years is still looking for a maiden Grand Prix win on home German soil. Mark Webber and Michael Schumacher completed the second row of the grid as the veteran German qualified fourth in his last ever home Grand Prix.
