James Cary

James Cary straddles the sometimes incompatible worlds of sitcom writing and church. His听credits include听the 麻豆官网首页入口 series Miranda, My Hero and My Family.听He's co-creator of 麻豆官网首页入口 Three's sitcom Bluestone 42 which aired earlier this year and has been recommissioned for a second series.听

Emily Maguire

Emily Maguire, the inspired British-born singer songwriter whose remarkable personal journey took her from Australia to the Albert Hall faster than the Bullet train is about to release her first album in three years, Bird Inside A Cage.听

Listing influences from Bob Marley to Bach and Buddha, Cambridge-born Emily was classically trained as a child on cello, piano and flute. Her songwriting was born from adversity in her 20s when she was diagnosed with Fybromyalgia, an illness which attacks the nervous system and which kept her hospitalised and housebound for years. Says Emily: 鈥淚t wasn鈥檛 all negative - it gave me the time and space to discover songwriting and learn guitar from Bob Marley songbooks!鈥�

Emily will be joining us live in the studio to play a听track from her听forthcoming album.

Emily Maguire's album "Bird Inside A Cage" is released 15th July on Shaktu Records.

Reverend Ruth Scott

Reverend Ruth Scott

Ruth trained as a nurse and midwife, and worked as a counsellor before being ordained priest in the Church of England in 1994, one of the first women to do so. She has a first class honours degree in theology and a masters, but is also trained in mime and physical theatre. Over recent years she has become increasingly involved in interfaith dialogue, as well as regular broadcasting work with the 麻豆官网首页入口.
She also brings our Moment of Reflection.
