Alfie seeks out Jean's date to check he is up to scratch. Will he pass the test? Roxy can't believe her luck when Alfie gives her an offer that she cannot refuse.

Kat’s concerned when Jean reveals she’s got a date with Ollie. Alfie heads to the allotments to check him out. Ollie thinks he and Jean have got a connection, just like the one he saw between Alfie and his missus – Kat. Later, Alfie reports back to Kat that Ollie’s passed the vetting process and is a policeman. The pair acknowledge they’ve received the decree nisi ; Kat mentions it’s not too late to call off the divorce. Alfie thinks they need to move on but Kat’s insistent he’ll never love Roxy the way he loves her. Back at the Vic, Alfie shows a worried Roxy the decree. She’s thrilled when he proposes and says yes, unaware Kat’s words are ringing in his ears...

Ian’s struggling to run the businesses by himself; Lucy and Peter haven’t turned up for work. Ian overreacts when Phil steals an apple. Denise is disgusted with Ian. He admits he’s being threatened by Carl. Denise talks to Carl and is shocked by his vehemence – Ian stole ten grand and he wants it back. Denise realises Carl caused Ian’s injury. Denise persuades Peter to return to work then appeals to Phil. Carl assures Phil he’s not there to step on his toes. Phil tells Ian and Denise to repay Carl, quickly. Ian gives Carl £3000 and is horrified when Carl insists the debt’s now far more than £10,000.

Max attempts to look after Abi, but clearly isn’t coping. Concerned, Abi and Jack send him off to visit Lauren, Tanya and Oscar.

Shirley moves out of the B&B after an argument with Sharon and Dennis.

Michael takes a belated birthday present round to No.27 for Scarlett. Sure Michael’s trying to make her feel guilty for not throwing Scarlett a birthday party, Janine plans one for the next day.
