A decade ago Frank Bruno was sectioned under the Mental Health Act, suffering from Bipolar Affective Disorder, also known as manic depression. In 2012, with the permission of his family, Frank Bruno was twice readmitted to a specialist mental health unit at Basildon Hospital in Essex.
