Chris then widens the discussion out to 'right plant right place', and shows how to read plants in order to work out where they can be situated and how then to push the boundaries of the hardiness index.

Carole is with Donna Speed in Tarland, Aberdeenshire. Donna wrote in with some fruit-related problems in her garden. Carole teaches Donna how to keep the fruit trees clean around the base, protect them against rabbits and understand pollination. Carole and Donna also dress up a dull concrete area in a simple but stylish manner with some alpine troughs.
