In this episode, a gang of jewellery thieves are stopped in their tracks on two separate occasions - by pensioners, with a combined age of 141. We show the amazing footage of Ann Timson sprinting down the street and letting loose on the robbers with her handbag. Then three weeks later, the very same gang encounter 70-year-old retired sales manager Michael Graver, who also slows down the gang as they attempt another raid. Their actions helped get ten members of the gang jailed for more than 60 years.
We show what happens when standing up to criminals can go horribly wrong. A former police officer and his 6 foot 8 son take on a gang chasing down a teenager, only for both to end up with stab wounds, with one sustaining life-threatening injuries.
Adrian plays a trick on Julia to test how good a witness she might be. As she reads a presenter link, an apparent robber - in fact an actor - snatches a bag off a woman right in front of Julia's nose. So what will Julia remember when the police come calling? We reveal the tricks the mind can play when trying to remember a face.
And a vicar says enough is enough after having 拢200,000 worth of lead stolen from the church roof. He teams up with a Neighbourhood Watch member to conduct a stake out in the hope of catching the thief in the act.
