The Gold Rush
Comedy drama set in 1960s Wales. Excitement reigns over the Thomas brothers' plan. Sian decides to make a play for famer Ceri. Prem faces his darkest hour.
It's now 1966, three years after Prem and Kamini's arrival, and they have become very much a part of the Trefelin community. But their lives and those of everyone in the village are about to change when its highflying 'prodigal sons' Basil and Robert Thomas, return to bring a first real taste of the swinging '60s.
Excitement about the Thomas brothers' plan reaches fever pitch, but not everyone wants to sign up. Aspiring revolutionaries Aled and Daf decide they need to make a statement of their own, while Prem and Kamini are divided over their future. Owen also worries for the future of his son Dan when Prem says he's to stick to work in the mine. Meanwhile Si芒n decides that farmer Ceri might be worth ensnaring with her feminine charms - at least if he really has come into some unexpected money! When an act of sabotage breaks the village's calm, Prem finds himself facing his darkest hour.
