Nick Knowles presents events from the day-to-day work of the emergency services on land, sea and in the air. Includes a daring rescue in wild flood waters.
From some of Britain's police and ambulance emergency control rooms, Nick Knowles presents dramatic events from the day-to-day work of the emergency services on land, sea and in the air. Real Rescues also features real 999 calls, meets the people involved and the staff who answer them.
A daring rescue in wild flood waters as a 999 call reports a woman has been swept away from her car and family in 15 mile-an-hour currents. The police helicopter finds her but the river is too treacherous to cross. A man's head-on collision with a parked car leaves its mark on the vehicle. And a crash on the M1 leaves police with not one, but two drivers who don't speak English.
