The government says 1775 job losses in the UK shipbuilding industry are 'regrettable' but 'inevitable'.

BAE Systems has confirmed that it's cutting around 18 hundreds jobs across the UK. Almost a thousand posts are going in Portsmouth, where the construction of warships will end. John Nichol, the former RAF officer shot down in 1991 during the first gulf war, tells Shelagh how he's affected by fireworks.
