About Ian Hatcher, Rob Roland and Alistair Pearson
Dairy manager Alistair Pearson and residents Ian Hatcher and Rob Roland, all play a key part in the cheese-making process in Botton community in North Yorkshire. Alastair Pearson learned his craft in Germany and is now creamery manager at Botton Village. The creamery processes around 2,000 litres of milk a week, producing Cheddar, Gouda, Tomme and Brie-like cheeses, plus natural yoghurt and curd cheese, along with the much-sought after Dale End Cheddar Cheese.
