Episode 5
Documentary series. The neighbourhood police are called to the home of an alcoholic man in East Yorkshire whose next-door neighbours have complained about drug-fuelled parties.
Many of Britain's seaside towns have been transformed from once-thriving holiday hotspots to areas of increasing poverty and social breakdown.
This episode follows the fortunes of a homeless alcoholic man who has been rehoused on an estate in Bridlington, on the East Yorkshire coast, much to the consternation of those living nearby.
He is well-known to the local neighbourhood police team who are called, on more than one occasion, to his new home after his next-door neighbours complain of drink and drug-fuelled parties. When one of his 'guests' is suspected of taking heroin it is the last straw for the council's housing officer.
Anti-social behaviour is also proving to be a problem in nearby Hull. Bored youths seem intent on vandalising a newly renovated skatepark and the neighbourhood police officers have strong words for them, and then try to encourage them to take part in a new outdoor sports scheme.
