Makuve Family
Christine Makuve is determined to move to Australia's Gold Coast, but husband Munya thinks the timing is wrong and their children just don't want to go.
Christine Makuve is determined to move her family to Australia, hoping her children can have the idyllic upbringing she and her husband experienced. But with only five years to wait before collecting an army pension, husband Munya thinks the timing is all wrong. And she will also have to persuade the couple's teenage daughter and son, Vanessa and PJ, who are reluctant to leave their lives in the UK.
During a trial week living on Australia's Gold Coast, the whole family fall in love with their dream property, and Munya's employment opportunities look promising. But will that be enough to persuade her family to make the life-changing move to Australia, or will it be the end of Christine's dream?

Makuve family update
As of December 2013 the Makuve family are still living in the UK.聽 But Christine鈥檚 dream of uprooting the family to Australia is becoming increasingly likely.聽 Since returning home PJ, Tin-Tin and Vanessa have fully embraced the idea of moving - putting their mum and dad under pressure to go sooner rather than later.聽 Delighted by their enthusiasm and despite being promoted to a Major, Munya will potentially request an early exit from the army which could see them depart the UK as early as next year.
