Old Hymns, New Tunes

Diane Louise Jordan tops up her weekly selection of popular and inspiring music with a special selection of traditional songs and hymns for which new tunes have been written. "Praise my Soul the King of Heaven" gets a face-lift from Graham Kendrick while the much-loved tune to "Amazing Grace" grows and matures in the hands of Chris Tomlin. Aaron Neville sings a gospel version of "Jesus Loves Me", while Diane seeks listeners' help in identifying one tune in a medley. This week, Diane takes the chance to find out how the theme tune to the "Vicar of Dibley" came to be such a popular setting of the 23rd Psalm. As usual, Diane hears what listeners are up to while tuned in to The Sunday Hour and the programme features listeners' requests for the lighting of "virtual candles" for those in a time of need.
