Hazel Irvine is in Sochi where the first of the day's six gold medals will be awarded in the men's snowboard cross - this fast-paced event in which boarders race each other down the course has been hugely popular since it was first introduced to the Winter Olympics in 2006. Seth Wescott won the inaugural event, and then retained his title in Vancouver four years later - can the American collect a third gold in Sochi despite an injury-plagued build-up?
It is getting to the business end of the curling group stages. Great Britain's women face Russia, while the men are up against China.
Plus, there is another chance to catch up on the previous night's action at the Iceberg Skating Palace, where the ice dance competition began.
