Jonathan Edwards presents further coverage from the 2014 Winter Olympics. Action includes the first run of the women's slalom, and all eyes will be on teenager Mikaela Shiffrin, who has taken the world of alpine skiing by storm. The American is already the world champion in this discipline, but must see off the likes of reigning overall World Cup champion Tina Maze and defending champion Maria Hoefl-Riesch if she is to claim Olympic gold. The competition could also include classical violinist Vanessa Mae, who was set to compete for Thailand.
There is also live action from the men's ice hockey semi-finals, where victory will guarantee a medal and a place in the final. Plus, updates from the biathlon and the speedskating, both of which feature team relays.
