Jools Holland is joined by Paolo Nutini, who performs tracks from his new long player Caustic Love, plus Royal Blood, Neil Finn, Lucius, Joan As Police Woman and Zara McFarlane.
Jools is joined in the studio by Glasgow's own Paolo Nutini, who returns after a five-year break since his multi-platinum Sunny Side Up album. He performs tracks from his new long player Caustic Love.
One of the most talked-about new bands of the year, from Brighton - singer and guitarist Ben Thatcher and drummer Mike Kerr, also known as Royal Blood - make their Later debut with their formula of heavy blues riffs and rock choruses.
From New Zealand, Neil Finn, who has appeared on the show in a variety of guises over the years, pops in to play selections from his new Dizzy Heights album. Plus, making her UK televison debut is New York-based singer-songwriter Joan Wasser, better known as Joan As Police Woman, who is doing a tune or two from her critically acclaimed album The Classic. Brooklyn five-piece Lucius perform songs from their Wildewoman album.
Born into a Jamaican family in Dagenham, East London, vocalist Zara McFarlane has been described as 'the most interesting jazz singer to appear in years'. With her quartet, she performs their take on the reggae classic Police and Thieves from her If You Knew Her album.
