A new generation of community police officers are on the front line, developing stronger bonds with their communities and cracking down on the crimes taking place on their doorsteps. This programme follows the teams of neighbourhood blues in Humberside.

The police frequently come in for flak for not being tough enough on criminals who commit the types of low-level crime that can make everyday life a misery. Neighbourhood policing is supposed to change that, and Neighbourhood Blues is back in Humberside to find out if it is really working.
