Today we鈥檙e at the highest point in Northern Ireland, at 2796 feet Slieve Donard is the tallest mountain in the province. More and more people are flocking to the Mournes to climb it every year and there are hundreds there today especially for the annual Slieve Donard Challenge Walk. Martin McMullan from the Mourne Mountain Rescue group will be leading the group and he joins us on the show to tell us what climbers can expect.听

They鈥檙e hoping for tight lines in Newtonstewart this weekend where the first ever Fish Festival is happening. It鈥檚 taking place on the banks of the Strule at Vaughans Holm. We have Anne Speer on the show from Newtonstewart who鈥檚 a keen fisherwoman. She鈥檚 already picked her place on the Strule and She鈥檚 joined by Terry Smithson from the Omagh Anglers Association.听听

Last Saturday we heard about the launch of the newly built currach on Lough Erne in County Fermanagh. Well, the celebrations lasted all day in Enniskillen and Helen Mark was there to join in on the fun. We hear all about it from Helen and Chairperson of Row the Erne, Olivia Cosgrove.

Next to Armagh, or Orchard County as it鈥檚 also known, because of the unique Bramley Apples grown there. Today there鈥檚 a festival to celebrate the apples with ciders, juices and even a Bramley Apple pie competition. Hamey Loney is a Bramley specialist producer and Sarah McGeery is Tourism Development Officer with Armagh District Council - they're both in our Armagh studio at the planetarium.

Anne-Marie has been talking to flying enthusiast Mark Holmes at the Causeway Flying Club. He鈥檚 been flying for years and has a couple of unusual planes which he keeps in a big hangar not too far from Coleraine. Mark tells Anne-Marie all about the club and his love of flying.听听听
