Mercedes have been the dominant car this season but they are yet to win in Singapore since they returned to Formula 1 in 2010. Could this year be the race they change that particular statistic? Yet in Lewis Hamilton, they have a man who has tasted victory at Marina Bay - the Brit doing so in 2009 in his then-McLaren. The best result Nico Rosberg has managed so far in Singapore was his fourth-placed finish in 2013, when Sebastian Vettel claimed victory from pole position.
