71st Northern Ireland Ploughing Championship

There will be tractors, horses, and helicopters in Balmoral Park near Lisburn on Saturday. That's where the 71st Northern Ireland Ploughing championship is happening.听Anne-Marie will be speaking to William King, President of the NI Ploughing Association and听Tom Cochrane,听former World Champion and three times European Champion.听The Northern Ireland International Ploughing Championship continues until听Saturday evening听in Balmoral Park at the Maze near Lisburn.

Anne-Marie says that over the last few weeks she has been unable to stop looking at a field in Portstewart - because of the big birds, including buzzards, which have appeared there recently. She has seen maybe up to a dozen there hunting for something - and then a heron arrived. Time to get bird expert Dot Blakely on the case.

Fermanagh man Gordon Johnson is being honoured this month by Enniskillen Country Museum for his work as an artist, photographer, writer and model maker. Some of that work featured the creation of 16 lifesized models for the Aughakillymaude Community Association鈥檚 mummers' work. Anne-Marie speaks to听Gordon鈥檚 widow Toni and Sarah McHugh, manager of the Enniskillen country museum.
