Duration: 00:45
Gem Hunting
Euan meets gem hunter Adam Mcintosh and goes in search of the ‘Scottish Ruby’ otherwise known as the Garnet.
Rabbit
Rabbit was once a staple food in Scotland, it wasn’t until the 1950s, when cheap farmed chicken became more available that it fell out of favour. But wild rabbit meat is healthy and sustainable. Hopetoun Estate near South Queensferry sells the rabbits shot on their estate in the farm shop. Dougie goes lamping to find out how they end up in the pot. Then Nick Nairn and Dougie take the food van into the heart of Dundee to cook up a rabbit and see what the shoppers think of the taste.
Kirkyard Trail
Hanging out in cemeteries might not be everyone’s idea of fun, but you can learn a lot from gravestones. Especially in Angus which has many beautiful,  intricately carved stones. The local Council have created a Graveyard Trail to guide you around some of the best examples. Sarah explores some of the highlights.
The Natural Solution to Sea Lice?
They’re one of the salmon industry’s greatest challenges: sea lice. Crowded together farmed salmon can become infested with sea lice. Until recently the only treatment were chemical veterinary medicines. But now the industry has come up with a new natural alternative, cleaner fish called wrasse. Dougie finds out how it works.
