Performance data for almost 5,000 surgeons in England in a move towards greater transparency. Using the MyNHS website, patients can search for information, including mortality rates for individual specialists. One surgeons鈥� association says publishing such information is 鈥渃rude鈥� and can be misleading. Speciality surgeons also warn聽it could lead to some consultants refusing difficult cases.聽
