On the night before Thanksgiving, Brian and Peter drunkenly devour the holiday bird. When Lois discovers what they have done the next morning, they must go out to find a replacement. Of course, every supermarket in town is completely out of turkeys. They finally find the very last turkey at a shop more than 60 miles from Quahog, but when Peter manages to strand them in the middle of nowhere, they have to find a way back home before Thanksgiving dinner. As their situation escalates thanks to Peter's continued stupidity - and Peter makes a confession about the previous drunken night - Brian finally has enough of Peter and angrily abandons him. Meanwhile, in Peter's absence, Chris attempts to step up and become the man of the house, and Stewie tries to coach him on how to be the perfect host. But as the guests arrive, it becomes clear that Chris is in no way ready to take on this responsibility.
