Wanting more time at home, John Woodland tried to convince his family that moving to Australia was the answer. A year after a trial week, where do they live?
A job as a lorry driver meant John Woodland was spending most of his time away from home. Daughter Chloe felt he'd missed out on her childhood, and wife Kerry just wanted more time with her husband.
After falling in love with Australia on an army posting, John was convinced a move down under could bring his family the quality time they desperately needed.
A trial week spent living in Perth managed to bring at least one other family member round to the idea of emigrating. One year later, have the Woodlands gone ahead with a move?

UPDATE: The Woodland family
After giving Australia a shot, since filming took place last year, the family have returned to live in the UK. Although they enjoyed their year in Australia, on balance the family felt the country just didn鈥檛 offer enough to keep the family there on a long term basis.
After Kerry and John returned to the UK, Chloe and Sam stayed on for a short period, but have also since returned home. We wish the family all the best for the future.
