New drink driving laws in Scotland

In December 2014 the Scottish Government lowered the drink driving limit with the aim of making Scotland’s roads safer.   But some publicans and hoteliers, especially in rural areas, say that their businesses are already feeling the effects.  Indeed the the Scottish Licensing Trade Association says that this is the most challenging period it has seen in 40 years.  As ·¡Ã²°ù±è²¹ reports, the lowering of the drink drive limit isn’t the only factor being blamed.  The industry also says that declining population, the economy, high taxation and the availability of cheap alcohol in shops is also affecting trade.
