Cook and artist Heather Dewar explores Hebridean communities. In this episode, Heather visits the island of Colonsay, where she samples a range of local produce.

In this programme, Heather takes the short flight from Islay to the island of Colonsay. During her time there she samples a range of local produce, from native Colonsay oysters to wildflower honey and local ale from the island's microbrewery.

She meets a local historian who tells her about a recently discovered Viking burial and speaks to a couple of the island's Gaelic speakers. Heather compares her Islay Gaelic to that of Colonsay and discovers that the dialects of the neighbouring islands bear many similarities.

Before leaving, Heather attends a ceilidh where local band the Machrins McNeills perform their song Home to Colonsay.
