The Sportscene cameras are in Dumfries for the first of the weekend's quarter-finals with a place in the last four at Hampden next month the prize for the winners. It's an all-Championship affair as James Fowler's Doonhamers take on Peter Houston's Bairns.

Both teams are in the top half of the table and are very much in contention for a play-off place in their league campaigns. In the three meetings between the clubs so far this season there have been two 1-1 draws and a 3-0 win for tonight's hosts.

In their Scottish Cup runs Queens enjoyed a 4-1 win over Highland League Brora Rangers in the 4th Round before a famous victory over holders St Johnstone in Round Five. Meanwhile Falkirk had narrow 1-0 wins over both fellow Championship side Cowdenbeath and Brechin City from League One.

All the ingredients are there for a classic encounter in a stadium which is known for it's cup tie atmosphere.
