Bob and Cathy Salisbury moved to Seskinore in Tyrone for the love of the countryside, conservation, wildlife and a family connection to the area. They have created a habitat around their house for wildlife to come which has attracted many different species. So Anne Marie went along to take a look for herself and meet Bob and Cathy.Ìý

Up a country road to a grassy tree topped embankment and a gap where two pillars stand at the entrance to a stoney lane and an old disused farmyard. Muddytrac Farm is probably the World’s only dedicated muddy tractor, model, and production facility in Ireland. Each tractor is skilfully dirtied at the Farm and hand finished. Ronan Lundy went to meet the man behind it all, Alastair Bell.

If it’s that you want to get over your fear or learn for fun then Kernan Aviation does just that and they specialise in micro light planes. It’s run by Rafael O’Carroll who will be embarking on a sponsored flight around Ireland on a 1000 mile journey with 7 other planes and pilots to raise money for Brain Tumour Charity, Marie Curie and the Irish Cancer Society. Flight of Hope takes place over the Easter Weekend but Anne Marie talks live to Rafael to get more information.Ìý

Spring is in the air at Carnfunnock Country Park and to mark the occasion they will be celebrating the clocks going forward and 75 years of Larne Borough Council this Saturday 28th March between 2pm – 5pm. It’s a family fun afternoon of music, acrobatics and comedy in the event of a special outdoor circus show by Belfast Circus. Anne Marie talks live to Rachel McMaster from Larne Borough Council.Ìý

On the ruins of Brackfield Bawn, built in the 17th century for defensive reasons and just opposite is Brackfield Wood, nestled in the heart of the beautiful Faughen Valley. This is one of four flagship woods being created across the UK to commemorate the centenary of the First World War. The Woodland Trust has ambitious plans to plant 40,000 saplings by the end of the project. The trees will be a living, growing tribute to the people from Ireland.Ìý If you would like to make a hands-on contribution and plant a tree you can do so this Saturday 28th March between 12pm - 3pm.Ìý
