Couples Who Clash Over Parenting Styles
What can you do if you and your partner have completely different approaches to parenting? Nadim and Carole Saad found that they had fallen into good cop, bad cop roles when it came to disciplining their kids. This clash was damaging their relationship and also making them less effective at parenting. They鈥檝e written a book called Kid鈥檚 Don鈥檛 Come with a Manual about the solution the found to this common problem.
Primogeniture
Earl Spencer, Princess Diana鈥檚 brother, has said he鈥檚 leaving his stately pile to his oldest son Louis, rather than to his three, older daughters. He claims it鈥檚 a practical move that will keep the house in the family. It鈥檚 not the law - members of the aristocracy can leave their land to daughters if they wish - but primogeniture does still tend to reign supreme. Victoria Lambert is a health journalist and also the Countess of Clancarty, and part of an online campaign - the Hares - to ensure every title or office of state can be passed down the generations on equal terms.
