With doctors’ leaders warning of a looming crisis in General Practice, Eye on Wales features the audio diary of one hard-pressed GP in rural Wales.

Dr Peter Horvath-Howard’s record of his working life shines a light on the pressures on the profession, pressures which are leading many in General Practice to consider retiring early or going part-time.

Could improved training and incentives to set up in practice in the more rural areas of Wales attract more trainee doctors in to take their place?

And what are the implications for Wales of the decision by ministers in England to recruit more GPs to enable seven-day access to surgeries?

Presented by Kayley Thomas.
