Ladies' Final 1977 and 2002
Sue Barker looks back at two of Wimbledon's most memorable ladies' singles matches, including the 2002 final, when sisters Venus and Serena Williams faced each other.
Sue Barker looks back at two of Wimbledon's most memorable ladies' singles matches. Firstly, the 1977 final, which saw Britain's Virginia Wade looking to win her first Wimbledon singles title against the Netherlands' Betty Stove, with the Queen in attendance.
The 2002 final was also a memorable and emotional contest but for very different reasons. American sisters Venus and Serena Williams put sibling rivalry to the test, becoming the first pair of sisters to face each other in a Wimbledon final since 1884.
This is the second of three programmes showing classic Wimbledon finals from the 麻豆官网首页入口 archives.
