As winter approaches, the estate is being transformed. In the house, renovations commence on the grand staircase. It's taken a year of planning... but no one's thought to consult Lord Bath. On the grounds, management want to launch a brand new winter festival, but not all the staff are completely convinced by the idea.
Meanwhile, Ceawlin and Emma become first-time parents, helped by maternity nurse Gilly. Their baby will one day inherit the 拢190 million estate.
And a surprise business offer from China leads to a formal banquet in the green library. But Ceawlin finds himself drinking more than he bargained for when the traditional Chinese toasts begin.
