Learning from Waxcaps - More than 5,000 years ago Leonardo Da Vinci said "We know more about the movement of the celestial bodies than about the soil beneath our feet" and it's a quote that Dr Gareth Griffiths from Aberystwyth University's Institute of Biological, Environmental and Rural Studies (IBERS) says is still pertinent today. And so Dr Griffiths is trying to change that, using advances in DNA technology toeven when there not there to be seen.

And we hear how as well as launching a range of crispy seaweed snacks the firm has plans to develop Europe's first organic seaweed farm.

Helping Hedgehogs - Numbers of one of our oldest wild animals are declining rapidly in the UK, thought to be as a result of changes in farming practices and loss of habitats. This is a particularly difficult time of year for the creatures as late summer babies can struggle to find food as the seasons change.
