Father, Hear the Prayer we Offer
Reading: Galatians 5: 13-18,22-23a
My brothers and sisters, you were called to be free, but don鈥檛 let your freedom become an opportunity for your unreformed humanity. Instead, be each other鈥檚 slaves through love. For the whole law is fulfilled in a single saying, in 鈥榶ou shall love your neighbour as yourself.鈥� But if you鈥檙e biting and devouring each other, watch out that you aren鈥檛 consumed by each other.
I鈥檓 telling you: walk in the Spirit, and absolutely do not yield to the desire of the flesh. For the desire of the flesh is against the Spirit; that of the Spirit against that of the flesh; for they are opposed to each other. I don鈥檛 want you to be doing the things you don鈥檛 want to be doing.
If you鈥檙e led by the Spirit, you鈥檙e not under the law. The fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, patience, kindness, goodness, faith, gentleness and self-control.
