In tonight's Mera Safar - 'My Journey' Shaukat Ali, one of Pakistan's most legendary singers shares his memories of his early life and career with Ray Khan, through the music that he listened to whilst growing up. We hear about his struggles to become a performer, how he had to choose between singing in Urdu or Punjabi and how his love for poetry sprang out when he saw just a tiny snatch of a poem written on a scrap piece of newspaper.
