Scallop Dredging - A is underway on proposals by the Welsh Government that would allow commercial scallop fishing in Cardigan Bay for the first time since 2009. Earlier this year findings from an impact study undertaken by scientists from Bangor University established that West Wales can withstand a certain level of fishing but environmental campaigners claim it would be an ecological disaster. We discuss this !

The Glyn-Neath Gunpowder Works - established near Pontneddfechan in 1857 to produce blasting powder for use in mining and quarrying operated until the 1930s when they were abandoned and left to ruin. But now with the support of a grant from the Heritage Lottery Fund the has embarked on a project to conserve the structures that were left and celebrate a once thriving and significant industry.
Codi Cerrig - Sculptor Howard Bowcott is probably best known for his public artworks such as the slate pillars that form the centrepiece of the regeneration of Blaenau Ffestiniog town centre. Many of his sculptures are made using thousands of thin slates with each slate being stacked and stacked upon the next to complete a form. A mammoth task but ain Machynleth provides a chance to see some slightly smaller sculptures in stacked slate.
