Britain last reached the Davis Cup final in 1978 and are bidding for a first win since a 3-2 triumph over Australia in 1936 at Wimbledon - a victory inspired by the great Fred Perry.
Belgium have home advantage and have chosen to play the tie on their favoured clay, arguably the British team's least favourite surface. Day two will see the two nations go head to head in the doubles matches, with commentary coming from Jonathan Overend, John Lloyd and Jamie Baker.
