Bach's Goldberg Variations

Janine Jansen (violin), Nimrod Guez (viola), Nicolas Altstaedt (cello) play Bach's Goldberg Variations at the 2015 Le Sion Festival in Switzerland. Plus works by Purcell and Croft.

Ian Skelly introduces a performance of Bach's Goldberg Variations. Bach's dazzling work, an aria and thirty variations for keyboard is played in an arrangement for string trio at the cultural centre in Sion in the Valais, a former fish warehouse by the side of the river in this small town in Switzerland.
