Eddie The Eagle and Brian Pern

Janice Forsyth tunes into what is happening in arts, culture and music across Scotland. Dexter Fletcher on Eddie The Eagle and made-up music legend Brian Pern.

Janice reviews the week's big film releases with the help of critics Siobhan Synnot and Graeme Virtue.

Dexter Fletcher tells us how he came to make a film about Eddie 'The Eagle' Edwards.

Victoria is a new thriller from German director Sebastian Schipper that was filmed in one continuous two-hour long take. It's a technical marvel but is it worth watching?

And Black Mountain Poets takes two con artist sisters to a poetry workshop in rural Wales. We hear from star, Alice Lowe.

As well as films there's music, theatre, and more music.

BB Diamond is a young singer making a name for herself with her great voice. She tells us about her new acid-jazz tinged single, Feeling.

The Silent Treatment is Lung Ha Theatre Company's brand new production. The plot centres around a sponsored silence but writer Douglas Maxwell hopefully won't be taking part as he tells us all about it.

And rock legend Brian Pern is the greatest musician who never was. The creators of the comic monster, Simon Day and Rhys Thomas, join us to talk bands, break-ups, and bi-polar polar bears.
